The need to greatly reduce potential contamination threats, as well as trying to limit employees bioburden in such environments, is of critical importance to the success of a product, and the safety of patients and customers.

The lesson also breaks down the vital role that airlocks play in protecting sterile environments, the differences in cleanroom classification, with a particular emphasis on the differences between ISO 5 to 8, and the necessary gowning protection that’s generally required for each environment.
